Reference Checks

A reference check is conducted when an employer contacts a job applicant’s previous employers, schools, colleges, and other sources to learn more about his or her employment history, educational background, and qualifications for a specific job.


Employment Reference

This is an in-depth reference check that seeks the same information as the Employment Verification and in addition, the individual’s job duties, performance, strengths and weaknesses, eligibility for rehire, reason for resignation and other detailed information.


Personal Reference

Contact personal reference to ascertain length of relationship, character traits, personal conduct, nature of relationship and customized questions.


Department of Transportation Reference (DOT)

DOT reference check includes questions required by the Department of Transportation FMSCA Part 40 & 382 requirements, which include questions on drug and alcohol history.
